I don’t know or care if these guys are in a relationship, they legit could just be good friends if neither of them are even openly gay, but at the same time, anyone who constantly feels the need to talk about how a *hypothetical* couple won’t work out and they’re going to break up and all the people who ship them will be heartbroken etc etc, is certainly not in a happy, healthy relationship of their own.

The erastes-eromenos relationship typically involved a young teenager and yes they did usually end as romantic couplings upon the younger becoming an adult, but continued as strong non-romantic bonds.)
