Grimoire Noir is kinda worth reading. Because you'll learn about some pretty fun stuff like how Nier truly doomed humanity when he tried to save Yonah Or Kaine's tendency to masturbate after killing shades. You'll get nothing from the Drakengard 3 spinoff though. Ignore that garbage. |

I had to dig for some of them though(since I don't really game much I do miss out doing some stuff here and there). But of all secret endings, ending Y was the best ending in the whole game. It made me tear as well. |

Is this game more accessible than MGR? I was able to finish MGR on Normal, but gave up when I had to fight Armstrong again in the DLC. Why the fuck does Steam almost never get demos? PC needs demos more than any other platform, if you think about it. |

The camera is also terrible. I don't like the combat system much. The battle drains me of patience before I can figure it out. The combat system itself is easier than MGR, since you have an evade instead of a parry, so the timing isn't as strict. You can also equip different software chips to suit your combat style. Also there are no QTEs like MGR. |

Still not that big of an Issue, for me at least, You buy shit on PSN, play it for 2.5 seconds, you're fucked. You're not getting a refund. The only problem I see with this is if you have slow internet or have a small cap, but generally if you have slow internet or have a small cap you woulsn't be going around downloading 5-10gb files out of curiosity. |

How accurate are the translations? I noticed the Steam version lists Japanese audio. I think I'd rather play it with the original audio and subs. I don't like the English voice for 9S. I noticed a few differences and sync issues when I watched the demo in Japanese with subs, but I could barely understand any of it. Would be great if games had subs for the translated audio AND the original audio. |

Yoko Taro also said not to worry about localization differences "because my writing is pretty shitty anyways". |

I have the game. The writing is fantastic. One particular line I want to talk about: is how the "You're thinking about how much you want to **** 2B, aren't you?" line is genius. Not only does it mean "fuck", it can also mean "kill" too. It's bleeped out just so the player can insert either of the two words. Perfect given the context of 9S and Eve, people who love and hate at the same time. The face of Automata may be 2B, but the true protagonist is 9S. |

Nier and Drakengard flop financially and get mediocre scores critically. Nier then gets branded for mobile gaming to save itself financially. And Yoko Taro almost quits the gaming industry for a long list of financial failures. But because of Nier's strong cult following, Platinum being huge fans of Nier, and Saito Yosuke threatening to quit Square if he didn't get to work on one more project with Taro: Square ends up GOING to Yoko Taro for another Nier game. He gets one more chance and YET: he pulls a Kojima by advertising and hyping 2B as a protagonist for Nier: Automata before shoving her aside in the actual game, which ends up pissing off a lot of Japanese. What an absolute madman. |

@PeenusWeenusCaim So all that fanservice for 2B is because she won't be there anymore for you to see. I mean, they even made sure her fleshy bits move in a proper manner, including the top of her thigh highs. As someone else said, this was a labor of love. But fucking hell, I really wanted to play with her more, I don't care about the other characters. I'll be waiting for the PC release anyway. |

The music being synchronized with the boss attacks/phases are +1 Although the music in Nier is better, the music and how it's used in Automata in tandem with the gameplay makes for a very dynamic feeling you hardly get from video games. I actually feel like I'm in theater. |
