Why Did I Make Limp Bizkit Cry? / 2 Tickets To Acid Bath | Nate Garrett's Big Riff Energy Ep. 102

- Going to see Acid Bath in Florida and Chicago. Musings on reunions/cash grabs. What does it feel like getting turned into clickbait for 2 weeks straight (angry Type O Negative fans, angry Limp Bizkit fans, angry J Dawg fans)? Putting the Fred Durst sandwich incident to rest once and for all. Heaviest/greatest riff of 1972?

Hell yeah, dude, I'm pumped to hear the new imperial triumphant album clicked with you. It's so good!
I just got tickets to Acid Bath too, and the show is 2 miles from my house! Couldnt believe it when they announced it... High On Fire opening as well, one of my favorite bands. Acid Bath was one of my first extreme metal bands, Ive been listening to those albums for the majority of my life. I havent been this excited for a show in years
Mourning Star sounds insane! One of the better new bands I’ve heard in a minute.
…Also a song by Dreamtime!
The Dawg crossover was excellent, dude, that's what brought me here. Even though I'm pretty strictly a death metal guy, and a gatekeeping guy
Every time I hear PRP I can't stop thinking about platelet rich plasma.
I need to get me some of that.
I like Your description of Twink Bizkit. 😂😂👍👍 That made Me feel good, Thanks Man.
You’re achieving quite a new level of success and I congratulate you. You have earned. The amount of effort and passion is quantified and justified.🤘🏽💪✊🏿
🙏🤘
Yo Nate! This is Randy from Evoken. Awesome shout out! Dude that day will go down in history hahaha
Yo! Awesome to hear from ya. Actual tough guy type stuff. 💪💪
The drummer from my old band threw yogurt on Earth Crisis when they came to Seatown, long ago. They freaked out. He did it several times, and managed to remained anonymous
As I came to type a comment about how killer Necrot is, you started talking about Captain Beyond. God damn another fantastic band from the 70s that doesn't in my opinion get talked about enough!! Those first two albums with Rod Evans singing are just great. I've never really listened to the third album with the other singer. But if anyone is a fan of Deep Purple you need to check out Captain Beyond.
I was there throwing sandwiches with yall in spirit brother.
I'm definitely checking Mourning Star out; should be right up my alley. 👍
By the way, the combination of great female vocals, epic Candlemass-ish doom and Bolt Thrower riffs, the album 'Funeral for a King' from last year by Stygian Crown actually did that very combo to near perfection. 👌
Man, 'Snowblind' is not only one of the very best Black Sabbath songs, hell, it's one of the best songs ever written, period! 🤗💯
I hope you get an interview with Kirk Windstein tonight at the Down show, Nate. That dude, apart from being a Riff Meister extraordinaire, is just about the most honest, down to earth, and most loveable person in all of metal. 🤘
He RULES
The only thing a trillion times better would be Bolt Thrower with Bolt Thrower riffs, and Bolt Thrower vocals
yup yup Captain Beyond on that level! juicy riffs to be had on those 2 Bang records from 72 and Hard Stuff's Bulletproof
Wishbone Ash Argus from 1972 has a lot of cool riffs. The opening twin guitar harmony on Throw Down The Sword basically invented Iron Maiden's sound.
Great album
Fuck yea. I'll be at the Salt Shed. Still can't believe it's happening.
I will fucking be there!
man, I still listen to some mudvayne, I still own my copy of end of all things to come, that album got me into some of the heavier shit; plus its great to listen to on the way to a cabin or camping.
I don't know how much truth there is to Instagram pushing appropriate advertising after the event but I swear to god that happens to me every fuckin time. Maybe I'm not on Instagram enough so it tries to manufacture FOMO? But it's very annoying. I think the idea of trying to get more advertising dollars from the consumer makes sense though.
Great choices! Dust - Suicide is killer too, from the album Hard Attack🤘
See you in London 🤘
So funny to hear about Summer Sanitarium 2003 ('tallica should bring it back!), I was at the Minneapolis date which Deftones couldn't make it to for whatever reason. The dumbest part of the entire night was Limp Bizkit covering "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" just for Metallica to play it as well later that night in their set.
I remember that. They got hit hard for that decision
Deep purple was such a good band. It sucks to me that nobody ever made the jump past Smoke because In Rock is an 11/10 album for me
Same here. One of my favorite albums ever made
Great show Nate.

🥪😎
Need that QotSA shirt.
That album was a moment. Queens was the baddest rock and roll band on the planet, 3 different singers!! Now they're just Josh's shitty solo band and that's fine but used to be so much more.
@@JasonB_13QOTSA ruled. Era Vulgaris was their last album that I loved. Like Clockwork was great, but it didn’t feel the same. Maybe just got older
Yeah I agree the wurst is durst heheh
Hey Nate! Big fan of the channel ❤there’s this VA band Shovelhead A.D. that I think you should know about/would really enjoy. They released an album not too long ago called “Timeless Old” it’s kinda in the Lamb of God Pantera or early Metallica sorta thing. Thought u oughta hear about em! Thanks man

Listen to acid mammoth’s caravan if you haven’t yet Nate. Think you’d really dig it
