Players can still get the covid19 virus at any of these tournaments that they are participating in not just in Novaks tourney. What a bad reason to be mad at a player or be put off by a player because they made an adult decision to play in a tournament.

I think it’s a good reason. They were partying together at the peak of the European epidemic with no social distancing and were even hugging. a few of them even got the disease. The other tournaments are at least trying to enforce strict measures

Coric didn’t attend any of the nightclubs, only went to play basketball and tennis

Novak’s was wildly wildly different. It was a disaster. They showed complete disregard for the pandemic and numerous players and their teams got infected as well as goodness knows how many of the public that swarmed them with no controls at these events. The third leg of the event got cancelled because the Montenegrin government wouldn’t let the event be staged in their country after seeing just how terribly the covid controls were in the first two legs. Novak has really shown so little responsibility or contrition - I think that’s what really gets people’s backs up. Instead, he just complains about a media witch hunt - it’s just tone deaf.

This tour is in no way comparable to the cautious tournaments we’ve seen like Jamie Murray’s battle of the brits and Cincy this week and the upcoming US Open.
